Well, why would I want to get off my butt to look it up if somebody else using Yahoo! has the answer right there w/ them? BTW, in school, I am a great speller but that one word is the word that I can’t spell for my life. You know how everyone has that type of word, don’t you? So show me some sympathy…
This is kinda random but me and my BFF were in Target and we went to the bathroom and then they made an announcement to evacuate and my mom said that she saw an employee say to someone else, “I need to go to the HR” HR means human resources, so my mom thought it was some thing I forget what it is called that if you breathe it in you can die. Me, my friend and my mom waited in the car like forever listening to Aoife, (pronounced Efa) Sara’s idog. Finally, we rolled down the window and asked if the person knew how long it was gonna be but no one knew so we just went home. Also, did I mention there were police cars and fire trucks and ambulances? It was scary cuz there were ppl on the roof

I recently applied for a job as a design assistant. I just graduated from college and this is exactly what I want my career to be so I really want this job. The company I applied for is very well known. I emailed someone that works with the company (I briefly met this person and got her business card) and sent her my resume and she forwarded it to HR. I also filled out the online application. HR contacted me by email and asked for some of my sketches. I sent in some sketches and did not hear anything back. I emailed HR 3 days later after not hearing anything just to confirm she received my sketches. She wrote me back saying she received them and that she would be in touch with me shortly. It has now been 4 days since she told me this.
My question is, should I call/email and keep bugging her until she schedules me an interview of should I wait for her to get in touch with me?

I would follow up about every 14 days. More than that will bother them. Keep in mind they probably have 50 other people like you who have sent them application.

The people who screen employees and handle employee issues. The department is often combined with payroll. They will try to keep down lawsuits about harassment and must truly understand the laws about things like discrimination.
