“Official”?
Cursive is linked handwritten letters modified on the fly for the linking to the letters that follow or precede. There are styles of cursive and these are a very simple modern as opposed to the flowing ornate writing of the 19th Century as shown in old textbooks.
It looks like it was put together by a committee.

Giant lizard attacks man called Kapoo as he goes to toilet in bush

(Funny Nigeria) Mr Kunle – otherwise known by his friends as Kapoo – was going to the toilet in the Lagos bush when he says he was attacked by a giant lizard. No one might believe such a story – except for the now dead creature he holds by the bloodied jaw. “I go take cutlass and kill am for inside bush,” Mr Kunle says, who needed the help of his friends to take on the giant lizard. “I go toilet for inside bush and then I saw am so I called dis brother and dis brother and we kill am.” (Funny Nigeria) Man called Kapoo attacked by giant lizard while going to the toilet in bush – watch only on BattaBox! From its tail to bloodied jaw – the green scaly lizard is nearly the length of a full grown man. But once the predator of the Nigerian bush, the lizard is now dragged around the streets of Lagos as a battle trophy. Many wildlife species in Nigeria are close to extinction due to the enormous human population explosion in recent years (approximate figures put Nigeria’s population closing on 200 million people) with its increasing demands on land resources and competition with the animal population. The lense is called mirrored, Theirs also Ionized and Irridium which are nearly mirrored but can be seen through at certain angles of the light.

Is this normal? Interviewer called to say I didn’t get the job..?

Question by KabbaSurabie: Is this normal? Interviewer called to say I didn’t get the job..?
So I interviewed for a job that I really wanted. It was at a library, so the process involved a shelving test, a computer skills test, a typing test and THEN the actual interview.

Today, the human resources manager called me. She said the position had been filled, and thanked me for coming in.

She then said that I was a very strong candidate but that other applicants were actually librarians (just my luck, right?). Her exact words were, “I just didn’t want you to get the letter saying we’d filled the position without calling you to say you were a very strong applicant.” She also encouraged me to apply for any other jobs they have open in the future.

Are these phonecalls somewhat standard practice? It’s the first time it’s happened to me.

I just want to know b/c I want to go to grad. school to be a librarian, so her phone call was encouraging, but I don’t want to read too much into it if she was just being “nice” or something.

Was this a bit unusual (in a good way)?
