Question by Carrie S: Can anyone recommend good books for training and caring for your puppy and dog.?
I am looking for books not internet resources. I have a german shepherd who only has a few months left to live and then I will look at getting another german shepherd so I want to make sure my current dog has the best few months possible and but also be prepared to do everything better next time, such as feeding it a high quality food, knowing how to keep the dog healthy and knowing signs of an unhealthy dog.

I want my next dog to have the best life possible and any suggestions on how to make my current dog happy would be great too.

I found this book at walmart called dog training for dummies. It is an excellent book and has taught me and my dogs alot.
It is very easy to do to, the book explains the training tecniches really good.
